Under the Spine health initiative of Swami Vivekanand Health Mission Society, third spine surgical camp was held at Swami Vivekanand Charitable Hospital Dharmawala on 22nd of April 2023 with support of The Spine Foundation Mumbai and HOPE(Helping Old People Everywhere) Dehradun and with continuous efforts of Dr Anuj Singhal, Dr Abhishek Gupta (Orthopaedic surgeon) and Dr Tejasvi Agarwal (Spine Surgeon).
The camp was an important landmark for the Society and a total of 7 major complex spine surgeries were conducted. All 7 cases were done at very minimal cost and all the patients were screened one month prior to the Surgery. All the patients who underwent spine surgery are now happy, relieved of symptoms and those are walking comfortably who could even stand before due to long standing spinal ailments.
The Team from The Spine Foundation(TSF) comprised of Dr Shekhar Y Bhojraj, Mrs Archana Bhojraj, Dr Tarush Rustagi(from Indian Spinal injury institute, Delhi), Dr Harshit Dave, Dr Shiva Kumar, Dr Deepender Tomar(Rishikesh), Dr Dimple and Mr Mahesh Palan
The Local Team comprised of Dr CB Verma (Senior Anaesthetist), Dr Abhishek Gupta (Orthopaedic surgeon), Dr Tejasvi Agarwal and Dr Ankit Verma.
It is a matter of immense joy and pleasure that the SVHM Society with the Spine Foundation is able to reduce the burden of spinal ailments in the Healthcare delivery system and will continue the same in the future.
