Swami Vivekanand Charitable Hospital, Shri Badrinath Dham started its services for the community from 11th May, 2019 and is operational during the Char Dham Yatra season. The ICU equipped hospital situated at an altitude of 10170 feet has staff trained at AIIMS Rishikesh in dealing with the health issues of high altitude. The hospital is offering totally free services round the clock to the devotees visiting the shrine in the Yatra season as well as the local populace.
The Badrinath Temple also known as the Badrinarayan Temple, located in Uttarakhand’s Badrinath town, is one of the Char Dhams in the state and is located in the district Garhwal Himalayas on the banks of the Alaknanda River. The temple is believed to have been established by sage Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century and has Lord Vishnu as the venerable deity.
