Swami Vivekanand Charitable Hospital, Petshal (Jageshwar Dham Route), District Almora started its services for the community from 21st July 2019. The hospital is 21 km before the Jageshwar Dham temple and is serving the local community as well as the pilgrims en route to Jageshwar Dham temple. Our hospital is open 365 days a year/all the year round and is catering to the health needs of more than 50 remote hilly and underserved villages of the area.
Petshal is a remote hilly village situated at an altitude of 5400 feet in Almora District of Uttarakhand State and is located 15 km towards east from District headquarters Almora.
Jageshwar Dham is a cluster of more than 100 stone temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva, which have inspired its popular name, “Valley of Gods”. Some small, while others very prominent, the temples reflect the finest architecture and are set against a backdrop of verdant mountains and the sparkling Jata Ganga stream. A heritage site protected under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the temple complex has around 125 temples and around 174 sculptures, including idols of Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati.
