The 18th International Conference of the Telemedicine Society of India (TSI), TELEMEDICON-2022 was held in Cochin, KERALA from November 10th to 12th, 2022. Dr.Anuj Singhal, our Secretary of the SVHM Society was invited for a paper presentation under telepsychiatry – Telehealth in Himalayan Mountains at the Telemedicon -2022 with the purpose of sharing his valuable experience of working in the community for almost two decades and further connecting it with the telemedicine. The purpose of the presentation was to highlight the challenges faced by the patients seeking treatment for mental health from the hilly terrain and the barriers for the healthcare provider to provide the right treatment with timely intervention. In reference to these challenges and barriers how telehealth has paved out the route to diminish the darkness from patients life who are seeking consultation for mental health.
