Baula and Sainji village which are 20 km and 26 km away from our Pipalkoti hospital respectively were selected by the Society due their inaccessibility and difficult to reach location. The villagers of these villages are supposed to travel on foot quite a distance for their health needs before they come across any proper mode of transport. Even for the SVCH Pipalkoti team, drugs and the other camp logistics had to carried on foot for a distance of approximately 2 km and 1.5 km respectively. Our camp was a huge relief to the villagers reeling under the seasonal health problems and illness and scared to venture out due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.
The services offered in the camp comprised of general health check-up including measurement of BP, temperature, sugar, SPO2 along with nebulization and ECG facility as per the patient’s requirement and illness. As always, all the medicines prescribed were given free of cost.
