Community Medical Camps by Pipalkoti Hospital (Badrinath Marg)

Total 3 camps catering to 10 villages were conducted benefitting 264 persons

Pipalkoti hospital organized 3 community medical camps in Kisan Nagar, Dwing and Sonla villages of block Dasholi of Chamoli District situated at distances of approximately 200 m, 28 km and 35 km from our hospital respectively. These camps were held on 1st, 2nd and 4th June from 10 am till 4 pm.

The Drugs and other camp logistics had to carried on Mules for a distance of approximately 3 km and 1 km respectively for Dwing and Sonla villages. The nearest PHC facilities are at a distance of 27 km and 23 km respectively and the CHC facilities are at a distance of 51 km and 13 km respectively.

The services offered in these camps consisted of general health check-up including measurement of BP, temperature, sugar, SPO2 along with nebulization and ECG facility as per the patient’s requirement and illness. As always, all the medicines prescribed were given free of cost.

Braving the odds:

Medical camp in COVID Micro – containment zone

Kisan Nagar village of Agthala ward situated at a distance of 200 m from Pipalkoti Hospital, has been converted into a micro containment zone as 17 people were found to be COVID positive. The Pipalkoti hospital team, despite knowing about the situation, upheld their “Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa” motto and visited this village. The team conducted the medical camp and provided their services to all the covid affected patients when it was most needed and no other health services were available.
