Swami Vivekanand Charitable Hospital, Dharmawala celebrated National Doctors’ Day on 1st July 2023. National Doctors’ Day is celebrated on July 1st in the memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal. He was born on July 1, 1882, and died on the same date in 1962. In honour of Dr Roy’s contributions, the Government of India officially declared July 1 as National Doctor’s Day in 1991. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and the SVCH Dharmawala Doctors were honoured by the staff for their remarkable contribution towards the Society.
