The Panchakarma Centre at SVHM Dharmawala Hospital

The Panchakarma centre is functioning under the overall guidance of two senior Ayurvedic doctors:- Prof. Dr. Sandhya Patel (Sr. Ayurvedic Pediatrician) retired as Prof. & HOD JS Ayurveda College Gujarat & Prof. Dr. V. Venkateswara Prasad (Sr. Ayurvedic physician) formerly Director, Rashtriya Ayurveda Peeth under Dept. of AYUSH for about 14 years. “Panchakarma is a group of bio – cleansing procedures, a type of treatment done in Ayurveda.

They help to remove the accumulated impurities and waste products in the body. All the therapies are done as per text of Ayurveda. The medicines, medicated oils/ ghee, duration of each procedure, number etc. are selected/decided on several factors like disease condition and age and strength of patients etc. Several diseases related to nerves, muscles, joints, skin, skin and other organs of body like kidneys, eyes, lungs etc can be treated with these procedures”.
