Swami Vivekanand Charitable Hospital, Dharmawala organized dental camps in various schools of Dharmawala, Block – Vikasnagar district Dehradun from 15th to 30th Dec. 2022.
Schools covered under these dental camps were:
- Shivaji Shishu Niketan Junior High School, Mednipur
- Indira Rashtriya Bauxa Janjati Junior High School, Mednipur
- Premwati Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Tiparpur
- Bauxa Aadim Janjati Adarsh Junior High School, Sherpur
- Shivalik Anusuchit Janjati Adarsh Vidyalaya, Shahpur
- Scholars Academy, Dharmawala
- Himalayan Children Academy, Ramgadh
With support of the school staff and permission from all the principals, a total of 1790 students were examined during the drive. Out of which, 948 students identified with dental problems were referred to SVCH, Dharmawala for further investigation and treatment. Around 1790 students were told about the correct brushing techniques, oral hygiene etc. in the awareness sessions conducted across all the 7 schools covered.
