International Yoga Day Celebration in Swami Vivekanand Health Mission Society Hospitals

Yoga is a discipline that dates back to thousands of years and is regarded as one of the best practices known to calm the inner self. The yoga practice aims to attain self-realization, by improving the inherent power of an individual in a balanced way. Yoga was founded by saints and sages of sanatan dharma, who presented a rational interpretation of their experiences and formulated a practical and scientifically sound method to be available within everyone’s reach. Originating in India, the word ‘yoga’ is derived from Sanskrit, meaning to unite. This unity signifies the ultimate union of the body with consciousness and thus attaining definitive peace.

By the supreme efforts of Government of India and Hon. Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi Ji, the United Nations declared June 21 to be marked as the International Day of Yoga.

Like every year all hospitals of Swami Vivekanand Health Mission Society celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st of June 2022.
