Responding to the call of “Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa” and the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic situation, SVHM society converted its Narayankoti hospital of district Rudraprayag for treatment of COVID patients with active cooperation from the District Magistrate and the Chief Medical Officer of Rudraprayag.

The COVID treatment unit consisting of 20 beds with oxygen back up of 35 cylinders and 5 concentrators was inaugurated in the presence of local MLA, Shri Manoj Rawat, DM Rudraprayag, Shri Manuj Goyal and CMO Rudraprayag, Dr B K Shukla on 23.05.2021. The hospital will provide entire treatment including ward admission, drugs and medicines, oxygen facility, meals etc. totally free of cost to all the patients.

This COVID treatment facility will be of immense benefit to the local populace suffering from COVID-19 and facing hardships in reaching out to quality health care due to the remote and difficult terrain, no health care facility nearby and their poor socioeconomic condition.

Narayankoti hospital team is going to start conducting community medical camps in remote villages of block Ukhimath from 25-05-2021. The camps will be providing general health check up including BP, Weight, Sugar, SpO2 and ECG along with free distribution of medicines. The team will also conduct COVID test (RAT and RT PCR) of beneficiaries in collaboration with the local government health department.
